I’ve been away from the gun-loving south for a long time now, so I don’t have anyone to ask, but do gun rights people get pissed off that they can’t take guns on planes? Doesn’t our Constitution guarantee that right, in their minds? Shouldn’t I be able to carry a firearm to protect myself from crazy people who want to blow up the plane? (which I understand to be a third of all airline passengers now — in fact it’s the only thing keeping the industry afloat in this bad economy).

 On a side note, my fellow Rhode Islanders would never ever ever elect a man named “Sonny” to be our governor. We would, however, elect an Italian-American mobster. But I have a different set of complaints about that.
