Notes:
Although the fourth strip I drew, this was the idea that inspired the creation of The Invisible Life of Poet. Ben was actually created first, and in looking for a “sidekick” for him, I drew a little psychotic nerd clumsily holding an axe, and quickly realized he should be the star.
Transcript for “The Axe”:
1) Poet: Hey Avery, go out with me or I’ll chop you up with this ax.
Avery: No.
2) P: You sure? I do have an ax here, you know.
A: Get lost, dork. I’m busy.
3) P: Last chance…choppity-chop!
4) …
5) P: Didn’t work.
Ben: Did you tell her about the ax?
